RHEINHESSEN LIEST: Mundart-Duo Ajoh & Uwe Jung: „Bei uns in de Gass"

Everything about everyday life, from the village idyll to vehicles from youth to equally trivial yet curious things, is reported by Uwe Jung and the dialect duo Ajoh in short stories and songs. And all of this in "uff rhoihessisch". Uwe Jung, a dialect author and member of the Rheinhessen author group Landschreiber, reads short episodes that deal with memories of earlier times, but also include current events and wordplays. Jörg and Horst Dehmel form the guitar duo AJOH. The lyrics of their songs are written by Horst himself, with some melodies being covers and others being original compositions. Father and son work together on the music, blending rock, blues, and folk; the final products then make their way into the ears of the audience - and have been doing so for 24 years.
Uwe Jung and Horst Dehmel are both multiple award winners in various dialect competitions.
