
The town of Ludwigshöhe and its church are relatively young. The original town of Rudelsheim was located in the Rhine floodplains and was largely abandoned after a flood disaster in 1819. The last residents moved their houses to a higher location in 1830, and the original Rudelsheim church was destroyed by fire in 1832. In 1848, the new St. Vitus Church was built in the new village of Ludwigshöhe, towering above the village.

The Protestant church in Uelversheim is a special church, built in 1722 in the Baroque style as an octagonal central building. The original furnishings are still preserved today and convey an authentic impression of times gone by. In the center of the church building, along the main axis from west to east, you will find the altar, the pulpit, and the organ with its magnificent Rococo facade from 1754, crowned by trumpet-blowing angels. The existence of the Protestant church in Dorn-Dürkheim can be reliably traced back to 1245, although the original building was probably constructed almost 400 years earlier. The current building dates mainly from 1618. The church building is a rectangular hall structure and some of the choir walls are still Gothic. Particularly impressive is the originally free-standing tower on the north side, which brings a piece of history to life with its embrasures – without any division into floors.

On the way between the cemetery and the marketplace in Ulmengraben stands the Schiller monument with the Schiller lime tree. The pyramid-shaped monument with a bust was erected for the 100th birthday of the poet (1905), made from stones of the former prison. In 2003, the square in the town center was redesigned. The centerpiece of the square is the fountain. Water bubbles here from a large hewn sandstone, which stands under a shade-giving chestnut tree.

The Winzerkeller is not just a piece of Ingelheim's wine-growing history. It still characterises the face of the town today and bears witness to a great cooperative achievement. The Geistermühle is a historic mill farmstead with beautiful half-timbered architecture. Today, the farmstead is a renowned winery. However, the mill still contains some evidence of days gone by, such as the old millstones. Guided tours of the fully preserved watermill are available. The Bornheim lookout tower is located in the middle of the sea of vines and offers a wide view over Rhine-Hessian Switzerland. This is also the location of the "Hiwwelrast", a wine tasting stand run by the surrounding winegrowers.
