German Geordies and Special Guest Thomas Winkler

Werner Schüßler & Klaus Brantzen have been performing together as the music duo "German Geordies" for years. Their program features a mix of European and North English folk music. In this performance, they will be accompanied by the renowned violinist Thomas Winkler as a "Special Guest." The top musicians offer a mix of vocal and instrumental ballads, lively instrumentals, and dance tunes from Europe, with a focus on North England. Klaus Brantzen sings, recites, and plays mandolin, harp, flutes, mandola, accordion, cello, and guitar. Werner Schüßler sings and plays guitar, mandola, bouzouki, and keyboard. Thomas Winkler completed his examination as a state-certified private music teacher at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz with a major in violin and was a faculty member at the Wiesbaden Music and Art School from 1986 to 2024. Several of his students have been awarded prizes at Jugend musiziert, and some have successfully completed music studies. In addition to his teaching activities, he founded and leads the chamber orchestra CAMERATA RISONANZA, which has given rise to the RISONANZA QUARTET and the salon ensemble INTERMEZZO. With these ensembles, he has performed multiple times at the Rheingau Music Festival.

Reserved tickets are available for pickup at the box office. Reserved tickets are usually held for you until 5 minutes before the start of the performance; after that, the reservations are canceled. Uncollected tickets will be returned to general sale after this deadline. Exceptions to the rule apply for events with high demand. This will be announced in advance on our website on the event page.
The box office usually opens at least 30 minutes before the start of the performance.

Reservations can be canceled free of charge up to one day before the event, either via email (kontakt@kulturkreis-woerrstadt.de) or by phone. After that, the full price must be paid if the tickets cannot be resold.
