At 17:45, the Laubenheim Chamber Music Ensemble will prepare the audience for the upcoming Christmas theme with Advent music. The story of the Evangelist Luke is known as “The Christmas Story.” It will be recited at the beginning of the concert. With organ chorales from the Christmas Oratorio by J.S. Bach, reflective impulses, and thematically appropriate Christmas carols presented in a chamber music style – sometimes accompanied by singing – the performers will depict the themes of Jesus' birth, the announcement to the shepherds, and the shepherds' adoration. The concert will conclude with a communal Christmas carol. A detailed program booklet will be available.
