Götz Widmann is a German singer-songwriter known for his cheeky, socially critical, and humorous songs. He gained fame in the 1990s together with Martin "Kleinti" Simon as part of the duo Joint Venture, before continuing his solo career after Simon's death in 2000. His music combines black humor, anarchic wordplay, and provocative lyrics with thoughtful songs about love, freedom, and life. With his spontaneous, audience-friendly stage presence and his distinctive style, he is one of the most unique voices in the German singer-songwriter scene.
