Youth Mask Parade

The youth mask parade in Mainz is a colorful tradition that excites every year with a new motto. This year it is: "True Mainz tradition bearers are the Mainz Schwellkopp carriers, and this has been the case for 100 years! With cool Schwellköpp that are appealing, we will show it to everyone at JUMA."

Since the first parade in the year 1957, the event has introduced children and young people to Fastnacht and sparked enthusiasm for this special tradition. In addition to Fastnacht clubs, numerous schools, kindergartens, youth organizations, and music groups also participate, making the parade a lively festival of diversity.

At 2:11 p.m., the festive parade starts in Boppstraße and moves through the city to the heart of Mainz's old town. An experience that uniquely combines the joy of life and tradition of Mainz Fastnacht!
