Kunstinstallation GAIA: Frühlingskonzerte der Alzeyer Kinder- und Jugendkantorei

At 3 p.m., the sparrows choir, musical early education, and the senior choir will begin with a colorful program that welcomes spring and May, showcasing how much fun intergenerational singing can be.

At 4:30 p.m., the Alzey youth choir will continue the event. In keeping with the "Gaia" installation in the Nikolaikirche, a floating globe in the church space, they will sing "Songs about the world." Among others, "Look at the world" by John Rutter, "What a wonderful world," and "Earth song" will be heard.

Following that, the Minis and Maxis will perform the musical "Living in Space" by Gerhard A. Meyer. Here, one can be transported into the vastness of outer space: comets, shooting stars, and planets of the solar system like Saturn, Mars, and Venus will come together in this brightly colorful revue, where the black hole would devour everyone, but actually prefers to be a bright star. How does that end? One may be curious and in the meantime, enjoy the captivating music!
