Actress Gesine Cukrowski has been captivating audiences for decades in film, TV, and theater roles (including "T"tort"," "T"aumschiff"). Now she is also successfully promoting her book "Sorry Tarzan, I'm saving myself."
Using examples of female role clichés in film and television, Cukrowski provides exciting insights into how the male gaze sustainably influences our attributions of roles. She demonstrates how important it is to develop a sensitivity to these seemingly self-evident truths.
Enriched with numerous personal experiences and anecdotes, she shows us: Women are rewriting the script. In front of the camera, behind it, and in the midst of society.
Gesine Cukrowski will read from her book and discuss age discrimination in the film industry and her fight for a new image of women with journalist Steffi Radke.
