MAFFAYpur (Peter Maffay Tribute-Band)

With 50 million records sold, Peter Maffay is the most successful German-speaking artist and has even surpassed bands like ABBA and AC/DC in the sales charts in Germany. This is reason enough to pay tribute to this artist, and that's exactly what the formation MAFFAYpur around Wolfgang Terne aims to do. The band consists of experienced live musicians who have worked with similarly successful artists as Peter Maffay – such as Thomas Anders, Herbert Grönemeyer, PUR, Julia Neigel, Max Mutzke, and even Maffay himself.

Therefore, MAFFAYpur should not be seen as a typical cover band; it is a loving homage from heart musician to heart musician. The German Pop Foundation agreed and ranked MAFFAYpur first at the German Pop & Rock Award 2019.
