One chorus - one child

Candles will once again spread their warm light in the Nieder-Wieser Church as we invite you to our concert for the 15th year. We have prepared a beautiful program with songs for Christmas, as well as evening and New Year's songs: Classical chorales and evening songs will be sung a cappella. Of course, the audience is also invited to sing along.
Wolfgang Thomas, an outstanding jazz pianist, will accompany us on the piano for the modern songs.
As every year, a new composition will have its world premiere. It's exciting to see.
And of course the theme song: “A Choir – A Child.” - Luisa Becker will play organ pieces on our small silent organ between the blocks of songs.

The charity event began in 2010 as a one-time concert, but developed into an annual tradition and has raised over €30,000 for projects of the children's aid organization so far. Thanks to generous support from sponsors such as Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz, the Rheinhessen Savings Bank, and the Protestant parish, many children worldwide have been helped. The entirely volunteer choir from Nieder-Wiesen has also received recognition, including through a CD production and professional vocal training. This year, the choir hopes again for a well-filled church and a successful fundraising result.
