About the Schnorrenberger winery: 1789 was a good year – the beginning of the French Revolution was a milestone for democracy. In the village of Welgesheim, winemaker and mayor Philipp Schnorrenberger was mentioned for the first time. Since then, much has happened, France is still a democracy and wine is still being made by the Schnorrenbergers in Welgesheim. 7 generations and well over 200 vintages later, Markus Schnorrenberger, along with his wife Angela and their two daughters, shapes the winery.
