Our cycling events between vineyards, fields and wine stands – sometimes sporty, sometimes relaxed, always a bit like a local festival and all about being together. Which event suits you?

Several cyclists ride along an asphalt road through vineyards during the Rheinradeln event between Worms and Oppenheim. Rows of vines line both sides of the road, with hills, trees and a wide sky in the background.

Rheinradeln – Every year in May

For those who enjoy meeting people along the way.
Once a year, the old Bundesstraße 9 between Worms and Oppenheim is closed to cars along a 25-kilometre stretch. Then the road belongs entirely to cyclists, inline skaters and everyone moving without a motor. Everything simply rolls along here. The cycling festival offers something for everyone: live music, hands-on activities and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the day together with wine, bratwurst and grape spritzer.

Small round stone vineyard tower known as a Trullo stands among vineyards in Rheinhessen. Several bicycles are parked nearby while people gather around a stand with a sun umbrella, with plants and a white flower visible in the foreground.

Trullo Cycling Tour – Every year in June

For those who like to savour the journey.
Rheinhessen has its own unique quirks. One of them: small white round buildings called “Trullo.” These are exactly what you explore during the Trullo cycling tour. The route is manageable, and the wine and culinary stops are well worth it – quite scenic, quite peaceful, and simply beautiful for letting your mind unwind for a while. Often, that’s all you need.

Several cyclists ride along a narrow paved path through a rural landscape. Hedges and trees line both sides, with fields, a house and a wind turbine visible in the distance.

Sattelfest in the Zellertal – Every year in September

For those who enjoy cycling across borders.
Not everyone knows the Zellertal – which is a pity. Over about 30 km, you ride from Rheinhessen into the Palatinate through the idyllic, picture-book landscape of the Wonnegau with wide views, small farms and many open doors. During the Sattelfest the motto is “get in the saddle,” roll along at a relaxed pace and take time for the occasional stop along the way. The atmosphere is wonderfully laid-back: not a perfectly staged event, but each station shows its own character – and you’re right in the middle of it.
