Only with the last generation, the decision was made, to only produce high quality wines. Jürgen Spiess, his wife Ute and their two sons, Christian and Johannes, never lost sight of what the family had learned in five centuries of farming: that respect for the family and nature is of great importance and how much can be achieved through hard...

The credo of Dirk Emmich: "For me, there is nothing better than making wine" His passion are the traditional grape varieties such as Riesling, Pinot and Silvaner. "Only the careful work in harmony with nature makes it possible to work out the particularity of each layer and each wine." The same amount of passion, Dirk Emmich and Antje Stamm put in the careful restoration of the sales and tasting room and the wine cellar. In 2013, the two also received the architecture prize of the Chamber of Architects...

The Saalwächter Winery belongs to Ingelheim like the Imperial Palace and Pinot Noir. As early as 1853, Paul Christian Saalwächter laid the foundation for today's winery as mayor. Then as now, we are particularly enthusiastic about the Burgundy varieties from the lime-rich Ingelheim sites as well as our counterpart from the slate slopes in Assmannshausen. Wine tastings are available for up to 10 people.

Wines and estates are spectacular. The castle ensemble (16th/17th century) towers stately over Ingelheim. In 1900, the von Opel family acquired the estate. Today, the VDP winery is run by Count and Countess Schönburg-Glauchau in the fourth generation. It benefits from an outstanding stock of vines in the Schloss Westerhaus monopollage and other sites in the Selz Valley. Wine tastings are available by appointment for up to 50 people.
