The Caponniere is located in a former fortress tower at Feldbergplatz and is one of the more unusual dining options in Mainz. Behind the historic walls, guests find seating at tables, high tables, and at the bar. In the summer months, a beer garden expands the offerings.
The menu features various drinks as well as small dishes like open-faced sandwiches or Spundekäs. Its location in close proximity to the Rhine makes the Caponniere a popular destination for a stop during a walk along the waterfront or for an evening in a special atmosphere.
In addition to the regular café and bar operations, the premises can also be used for private parties and events. Whether for a birthday, corporate party, or Christmas celebration – the historic tower offers space for groups of up to around 60 people.
