The location was mentioned in 1592 with the name "im Helweg". Hell means a slight slope. In West Central Germany, this hall designation is very common.

This common vineyard seed name probably does not go back to a "bee pasture". Presumably, the name of the location by the old Weinsorten- or. Quality designation "hunnisch" emerged. However, the meaning is not yet clear.

Documented mentioned 720 with the name "Witzerberg", 1372 "to Wisseberg" and 1435 "uff the Wyseberge". The name is due to the mountain on Wiesebach. However, the creek is based on an old European water name and has nothing to do with meadow.
