"Christmas? Humbug! Pure waste of time!" – that's what the old miser Ebenezer Scrooge thinks. Oscar Wilde immortalized him in 1843 in his story "A Christmas Carol." It has lost none of its popularity to this day.
On Sunday, December 21, at 4:00 PM on the fourth Advent, Stefanie Kleidt aka LITERAonToUR presents the story as a atmospheric reading theater, musically accompanied by pianist Thomas Scheike.
The program promises to be entertaining despite its length of 2.5 hours.
For the foggy air in the streets of London is still far from as frosty as the soul of Ebenezer Scrooge, who doesn't even spare the smallest smile for his fellow humans on Christmas Eve or allow himself even the most modest pleasure.
Then the ghost of his deceased friend appears to warn him of the fatal consequences of his actions. This is the beginning of a truly tumultuous wondrous night, in which Scrooge gets to know more ghosts, must dive deep into his own past, is confronted with the present fate of little Tim, and ultimately faces his own grim end that awaits him if he does not change. And the incredible happens: On this Christmas night, the old miser becomes a friend of mankind with a laughing heart.
With the musically accompanied storytelling theater by Stefanie Kleidt, the audience immerses itself in Charles Dickens' timeless story full of wit, goosebumps moments, and warmth of heart, and experiences the magic of Christmas anew!
