Gentle hills, wide vineyards, and a landscape shaped by millions of years of geological history: on the Wine Panorama Loop, you experience the “wild” side of Rheinhessen. In the region known as Rheinhessen Switzerland, quarries and geological outcrops remind you that this area was once the coastline of a primeval sea.

You ride through open vineyards and quiet villages, passing typical trulli – small round stone huts set among the vines. A special section is the climb to the Flonheim show mine. Challenging, but rewarded with sweeping views across the rolling hills all the way to Alzey.
