Wine and hills, trulli and villages await the cycling enthusiast on this sporty day trip. The starting point is Wörrstadt. From there it goes via Sulzheim to Wallertheim at the foot of the Wißberg. From there you swing up to the hills. Some have such wonderful names as Kuhhimmel or Lacherhübel. In Wöllstein the round reaches the Rheinhessen Switzerland, the most wooded area in the otherwise dominated by wine-growing Rheinhessen. The tour takes you south to romantic wine villages like Eckelsheim with its late Gothic church ruins. At Flonheim you will meet the "Trulli", a special form of vineyard cottage, and the historic center of Flonheim beckons you to take a break before heading to the next hill. When the promising Heimersheimer hill plateau is reached, the lively wine town of Alzey is not far away.
