Duo Ariana Burstein & Roberto Legnani

Bad Kreuznach
on 15.03.2026 from 11:30 to 13:30 o'clock

The program connects masterpieces of classical music with colorful influences from world music. Works by O’Carolan, Albéniz, de Falla, and Monti are alongside original compositions by Roberto Legnani, characterized by melodic richness, rhythmic diversity, and a personal touch.
A special highlight of the program is "Le Tombeau" by Roberto Legnani. The work was created in memoriam of the guitar maker Dieter Hopf, who passed away on January 13, 2026. Since 1986, Legnani has played his legendary guitar "La Portentosa." Dieter Hopf operated his workshop in Taunusstein-Wehen and was one of the key figures in modern classical guitar making. Le Tombeau honors him and his instruments, which are known for their balance, resonance, and extraordinary overtone richness.
The rare combination of cello and guitar opens up a multifaceted soundscape – from baroque elegance to contemporary expressions. The anniversary program serves as both a look back and a look ahead at a vibrant, evolved musical partnership.
