Those who know the flute only as an orchestral or ensemble instrument can look forward to a surprising journey of discovery this evening. Olga Reiser herself is a big fan of her own instrument, and as such, she highlights the solo qualities of the flute. In her program "Flute Tales," she weaves together multiple tracks of her flute playing using a loop station, combines them with rhythmic "beatboxing" and jazz elements, and explores new expressive possibilities. Thus, in this concert, not only is the entire flute family from piccolo to alto flute in use, but also a digital alarm clock and other electronic devices. Alongside the Minuet No. 2 in G minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, contemporary pieces by Ian Clarke, Greg Pattillo, or Tilmann Dehnhard, as well as original compositions and improvisations will be performed. An evening full of curiosity, energy, and musical experimentation.
