Open-Air-Kino mit Asterix und Obelix

The French Asterix comics are set around the year 50 BC: Caesar has conquered Celtic Gaul except for a small village near Rennes, which can defend itself with the help of a magic potion. Before the film screening, Arno Braun M.A. (University of Saarbrücken) will speak at 8 PM about “These Celts are not from here - Reflections on the population of Rheinhessen and the Palatinate during the second half of the 1st century BC.” This will be followed by a brief introduction to the background of the Asterix comics by Volker Gallé.
