Support for eleven honorary citizens' projects by the LAG Rheinhessen in 2018

At its meeting on 26 June 2018, the decision-making body of the Local Action Group (LAG) Rheinhessen selected twelve volunteer citizen projects in the LEADER region of Rheinhessen for funding. These can look forward to a support of up to 2,000 euros.

With the funding option for voluntary citizen projects offered again in 2018, clubs, non-profit organizations, interest groups or also loose associations of individuals could be supported unbureaucratically. In total, 15,000 euros were available for the LEADER Rheinhessen region in 2018.

17 proposals were submitted to the LAG Rheinhessen on May 25, 2018.

As always with LEADER, all projects were scored and ranked on the basis of evaluation criteria. The first twelve projects received funding.

The following projects were selected by the board:

  • Increased PC mobility of senior citizens, so-called Silver Surfer / Wichtel of VG Eich
  • Communication and use of social media in the club / MGV Concordiia 1898 Lörzweiler e. V.
  • Driver safety training for citizen bus driver / Volunteer citizen bus driver VG Eich
  • Driver safety training for citizen bus driver / group volunteer driver Citizen bus "Our Busje" VG Bodenheim
  • Social department store with bicycle workshop / refugee aid Saulheim
  • Functional jackets / vests for the Wegpaten of the RheinTerrassenWeges / Wegpaten RheinTerrassenWeg
  • Improvement of living conditions for wild bees and other insects in and around Udenheim / Regional Group Rheinhessen of the NBL
  • Installation of rider benches / generation community e. V. Zornheim
  • Upgrade Green Classroom: Acquisition of a compost toilet for the out-of-school learning location in Sulzheim / BUND district group Alzeyer Land
  • Upgrading of the Sculptures Trail / Wallertheim Active
  • Acoustic reassurance of a community center to create a meeting place / "Leit leit Leit"
  • Purchase of Nordic Walking poles for Nordic Walking participants of the Rheinhessen Walker / RheinhessenWalker

Since one project group did not use the funding, the number of subsidized projects is reduced to eleven. These are currently in the implementation phase. After implementation, the projects on this page will be presented in detail.

The voluntary citizen projects in the LEADER Rheinhessen region were funded within the scope of the EULLE development program involving the European Union and the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, represented by the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture.
