The Merls run a family winery where many years of experience and modern know-how come together. The philosophy: elaborate manual work and selection in the vineyard, gentle processing in the cellar. - The result: lively and fruity wines that are a joy to drink. The vinotheque is an inviting combination of wine shop and farm shop. This way, you can discover one or two nice gifts during the wine tasting. In the romantic Neu-Bamberg directly at the idyllic Appelbach stands the wine-o-mat of the Baumgärtner family "winery Hesselborner Mühle". A wide assortment is always cooled to the choice of the hiking friends. By cash payment and with 18 + proof of age can be purchased with pleasure. Some seating also allows a pleasant rest.
The vineyards of the winery extend over first-class locations that offer ideal conditions for the cultivation of different grape varieties. The range includes a wide selection of white, red and rosé wines as well as sparkling wines and Seccos, which are recognised for their quality and variety. Visitors are welcome to taste the wines in the cosy vinotheque and learn more about the philosophy of the winery. Wine tavern in a historic columned cross vault. Here guests can enjoy dishes like in ancient Rome. Furthermore, artifacts from the Roman era related to wine and food culture are displayed. Of course, there are also Rheinhessen delicacies from the present day and delicious wine from the own winery to accompany it.
In the cozy wine tavern, guests can enjoy a glass of the house's own white or red wines. The offer is complemented by a small selection of hearty dishes as well as weekly changing specials. In the rustic wine room, there is plenty of space for everyone – of course, also for families with children. Dogs are also warmly welcomed, on a leash. Guests are also happily greeted here for a wine tasting.
