The Wiesenmühle ist an old mill that is no longer in operation. The premises were acquiered in 1816 by the miller and ancestor of today´s Schilling family, Johann Mundorf I. The Wiesenmühle ist still a familiy business today, run by the sixth an seventh generations of Dr. Gerhard, Johannes und Uli Schilling. Farming and viticulture are practiced her to this day.
The winemakers Jochen and Thilo Hein both have their home in the 'Zellertal', in the deep south of Rheinhessen. Their winery is family owned since 1837. Where Rheinhessen and the Palatinate meet, the vineyards in the valley extending from west to east are under the typical influence of the west wind. These natural conditions inspired both of the broters to call the winery 'Westwind Weine'. Freedom, change and strength are aspects that are associated with the wind. With a long family history, the Reichsgraf von Plettenberg winery is now run by the fourth generation. With the entry of Falk Albrecht Reichsgraf von Plettenberg, tradition has been combined with modernity. But one thing remains in focus: to bring out the characteristics that the terroir gives the grapes in the wine and make them palatable.

A vinotheque with wines from Worms vintners, in the heart of Worms city centre near the Luther Monument for tourists and locals - that's what was missing in the wine city of Worms. In the historic building of the former tourist office, which built the two cottages for tourist purposes in 1925, the fruits of Worms' vineyards can now be tasted in liquid form. The focus of the wide range of grape juices is on white wines, but Blanc de Noir, Rosé and red wines are also not missing from the assortment.
