The winery has been practising organic viticulture since 1978. The Schmitt family was one of the first winegrowers in Germany to take the concept of sustainability seriously and completely abandon the use of synthetic chemical fertilisers and sprays. They were co-founders of ECOVIN, the Federal Association of Organic Viticulture. The vaulted cellar dating back to 1865 is spanned by two stone arches. The logo of our winery shows them as a symbol of our winemaking tradition.

With its cozy guest rooms, the Uwe Butzbach winery invites you to spend a comfortable and relaxing time on the Nahe. Taste the delicious wines of the winery and get to know the Butzbach family personally or explore the sights of the Naheland from Winzenheim.

In 2014, the winery moved to the outskirts of Bosenheim, but already has a tradition of over 100 years. In the meantime, Sebastian and Kathrin Korrell, the 6th generation, continue the business. True to the motto "tradition and modernity", constant change is taking place, but the focus is always on the tradition that laid the foundation.
