The winemakers Jochen and Thilo Hein both have their home in the 'Zellertal', in the deep south of Rheinhessen. Their winery is family owned since 1837. Where Rheinhessen and the Palatinate meet, the vineyards in the valley extending from west to east are under the typical influence of the west wind. The Gröhl family winery in Weinolsheim, Rheinhessen, has been growing wine since 1625 and can look back on 400 years of passion for wine and winemaking tradition. Now the 13th generation is taking over. Johannes completed his winemaking training at the renowned Rings, Philipp Kuhn, and Mathias Knebel wineries and is currently studying viticulture in Geisenheim.
