
The winery has been practising organic viticulture since 1978. The Schmitt family was one of the first winegrowers in Germany to take the concept of sustainability seriously and completely abandon the use of synthetic chemical fertilisers and sprays. They were co-founders of ECOVIN, the Federal Association of Organic Viticulture. The vaulted cellar dating back to 1865 is spanned by two stone arches. The logo of our winery shows them as a symbol of our winemaking tradition.

The story of our winery began in 2005 with a small piece of vineyard and a love of nature. While studying in Geisenheim, we, Esther and Philipp, got to know each other and from then on built up our own winery together. Over the years, the winery grows, always focusing on organic wine culture. Since 2008, we have been members of Ecovin, the largest association of organically working wineries. In 2014, the winery moved to the outskirts of Bosenheim, but already has a tradition of over 100 years. In the meantime, Sebastian and Kathrin Korrell, the 6th generation, continue the business.
