The "Römer" is one of the most beautiful half-timbered houses in Rheinhessen. Built around 1690, after its complete renovation it houses the wine bar and a small hotel with a very personal atmosphere. In the wood-panelled wine bar, guests enjoy local wines and good regional cuisine. In the heart of Alzey, on the Roßmarkt, the "Römer" invites you to the join the locals and enjoy typical specialities. The Römer offers the right premises for family and company celebrations, but also for business appointments.
In 2026, the "Monday to Friday Season" will once again take place. Small treats and creative offerings from the kitchen and cellar will bring the Strauss economy feeling to life even on weekdays starting at 2:00 PM in various innovative courtyards in Guntersblum. The Karsten Belzer vineyard will also be participating again this year. From July 16 to 24, 2026, the vineyard will open its courtyard for you as part of the Vino-Strauß series. We are a family winery that has been committed to controlled environmentally friendly viticulture out of conviction since 1990.
