Our wines are fun and reflect their origin. The vines grow in Dittelsheim in Pfaffenmütze, Leckerberg and Geiersberg. Our focus is on the white grape varieties: Riesling, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot, Sauvignon Blanc. A true family business, the winery is managed by Uwe and Ingrid Spies. For the wines, their son David Spies, 2011 Europe's best winemaker apprentice, is responsible.
We are a family business from Rheinhessen, where winegrowing has been practiced since 1838. Our wine-growing business is located on the Rhine front with the winery in Dorn-Dürkheim. We cultivate our vineyards along the Rhine from Dorn-Dürkheim via Alsheim, Guntersblum and Oppenheim. The Seck winery is located in the wine village Dolgesheim. In Dolgesheim wine-growing tradition has been existing for more than 1200 years. Until 2010, the winery was expanded further with new marketing rooms and guest rooms. Three generations work in the winery: Claudia and Axel, the children Alicia, Jakob and Georg, as well as the grandparents Ida and Klaus Seck. We cultivate 17 hectares of vineyards according to ecological guidelines and are members of Naturland.
Our winery is located in the heart of Rheinhessen, the well-known wine town of Bechtheim in Wonnegau. Sinve our daughter Diana completed her apprenticeship as a master winemaker in 2017, her and her father have been running the wine-growing business together.
