The winemaking tradition of the Fleischer family can be traced back to a document from 1742. Since the rebuilding of the winery on Rheinhessenstraße in 1968, Hans W. and Maria Fleischer have further developed this tradition with passion and innovation. Whether Winzersekt, temperature-controlled fermentation of white wines or red wines aged in wooden barrels, Fleischers are still among the pioneers in Rheinhessen. After 3 years of experimentation in the leased in 2009 winery Lieutenant Colonel Liebrecht from Bodenheim, in 2012 the...

Wine is bottled poetry. According to this philosophy, in the Janz winery, located outside of Mainz-Ebersheim, wines have been grown for five generations and they all have stories to tell. The new and the creative are mixed together with the tried and tested resulting in unique and individual wines. The vineyard extends over the sunny locations around Ebersheim, Zornheim and Lörzweiler and give the wines their own unique touch through their different terroir and the different slopes. Since 2015, the operation of Helmut Janz and...

In addition to the classic grape varieties such as Riesling, Sylvaner or Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc, we also cultivate newer varieties such as Kanzler and Scheurebe, which are complemented by the red varieties Pinot Noir, Schwarzriesling, Dornfelder and Regent. The balancing act between progress and tradition is achieved not only by a lot of manual work, but also by the use of the most modern technology, which not only facilitates the work, but also benefits the quality of the wine. Our single vineyard "Heiliger...

The Gres winery looks back on a good 300 years of winemaking tradition. The family came in the wake of the Huguenot banishment in 1684 from the Rhône Valley, where they had already done viticulture, to Rheinhessen. There, they planted 70,000 vines on 15 hectares in and around the municipality of Appenheim. The vineyards are located in five municipalities, so that for each grape variety an ideal location is available. The vines thrive particularly well on humus-rich limestone soils. In addition to national (Riesling,...
