Winery of the city of Mainz

The winemaking tradition of the Fleischer family can be traced back to a document from 1742. Since the rebuilding of the winery on Rheinhessenstraße in 1968, Hans W. and Maria Fleischer have further developed this tradition with passion and innovation. Whether Winzersekt, temperature-controlled fermentation of white wines or red wines aged in wooden barrels, Fleischers are still among the pioneers in Rheinhessen. After 3 years of experimentation in the leased in 2009 winery Lieutenant Colonel Liebrecht from Bodenheim, in 2012 the...

Wine & Good Bernhard Stenner

Traditional grape varieties, combined with the best locations close to Mainz - that's what the Wein & Gut Bernhard Stenner stands for. Daughter Malenka studies viticulture with the aim to continue the family business in the fourth generation. She is full of passion, because "a good wine is created only if you put a lot of love in it". Creativity and craftsmanship are combined in the wine and each wine has its own signature and thus a part of her. In her opinion, wine impersonates above all emotion. This joie de...

Winery Heinz Lemb

Welcome to the winegrowing family Lemb-Becker, Mainz-Hechtsheim In the old center of Hechtsheim the winery Heinz Lemb can be found. Our company looks back on a long tradition of winemaking and agriculture. The conscientious management of our vineyards is close to our hearts. During the careful handling of the wines from the cellar to bottling, we put our particular...

Winery Christophorus-Hof

The winery Christophorus-Hof has been in the hands of women with a lot of power and tradition - since 1654. Riesling and Silvaner are the most important grape varieties in the vineyard. Simone Schmitt-Rieth rules the cellar - and the whole business in general. The viticulture technician can sing a song about which special challenges Silvaner places to the cellar people. The beautiful wine shop invites you to taste. On the estate English and German are spoken.

Winery Heiligenblut

In addition to the classic grape varieties such as Riesling, Sylvaner or Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc, we also cultivate newer varieties such as Kanzler and Scheurebe, which are complemented by the red varieties Pinot Noir, Schwarzriesling, Dornfelder and Regent. The balancing act between progress and tradition is achieved not only by a lot of manual work, but also by the use of the most modern technology, which not only facilitates the work, but also benefits the quality of the wine. Our single vineyard "Heiliger...

Winery Gres

The Gres winery looks back on a good 300 years of winemaking tradition. The family came in the wake of the Huguenot banishment in 1684 from the Rhône Valley, where they had already done viticulture, to Rheinhessen. There, they planted 70,000 vines on 15 hectares in and around the municipality of Appenheim. The vineyards are located in five municipalities, so that for each grape variety an ideal location is available. The vines thrive particularly well on humus-rich limestone soils. In addition to national (Riesling,...
