He works conscientiously for the good of the wine and together with wine queen Mirjam they create an assortment full of wine, pleasure and ambiance. For the benefit!...

This is controlled ecologically, with great respect for nature and soil. The largest part of the vineyard treasure is on the Red Slope - a magnificent, red and original rock formation right beside the Rhine. This type of soil is very rare and requires a lot of man and vine, because the vineyards are barren, steep and full of red slate. The Riesling loves the red slate. The red soil gives the...

Winery Uwe Spies

Our wines are fun and reflect their origin. The vines grow in Dittelsheim in Pfaffenmütze, Leckerberg and Geiersberg. Our focus is on the white grape varieties: Riesling, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot, Sauvignon Blanc. A true family business, the winery is managed by Uwe and Ingrid Spies. For the wines, their son David Spies, 2011 Europe's best winemaker apprentice, is responsible.
